On January 29, 2015 OCS sent a Dear Colleague Letter requesting feedback on a revised Model State Plan. The revised plan is expected to be in effect for FY 2016 and will be automated, more streamlined, and incorporate information relating to the State Accountability Measures from the January 28, 2015 Dear Colleague Letter.

The Model State Plan must go through OMB Clearance and as of January 26, 2015 is in the Federal Register in volume 80, number 16, page 3967. There is a 60 day comment period with comments sent via email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

On May 20, 2015 OCS sent a Dear Colleague Letter noting that the Model State Plan will be in its second round of open comments as it works its way through the OMB Clearance process. The 30 day comment period will begin as soon as notice is given in the Federal Register.
